i used to have long nails @ school but after being a student nurse for a while they have been long only once or twice in the past 3 years and i want good nails again - fast. Dont want falsies.I want long natural nails, easy ways to get them?
I was at little confused at first, thinking this was a Daniel. now I'm a little relieved.
you could take pre-natal vitamins which make your hair and nails grow quicker and stonger.
I've been taking them for a while (even though I'm not pregnant, and you don't have to be to take these) and my nails stay long and strong and so does my hair!
good luck:)I want long natural nails, easy ways to get them?
Make sure you are eating enough healthy protein- chicken, fish etc- nails are made of keratin which is a protein.
Never file your nails with a metal file- they can damage the nail. Invest in some good manicure scissors.
Soak your hands in mild soapy water to clean, then dry.
Get a nail buffer from Boots- they are fab.

You can get the ones with a nail file on them too. File your nail, then buff the surface of the nail to remove ridges- to the last stage which is to buff them which naturally shines them. Keep them short until they are healthy, then gradually let them grow, by using the nail buffer twice a week and scissors for any sharp or damaged parts.. Boots nail kit is good too.

Wear cotton lined rubber gloves for chores at home and plastic gloves when you can at work.
get a nail and handcare combined cream and use on hands twice a week, smoothing in to fingertips around nails.
drink and eat plenty of calcuim to make ur nails strong and healthy and then let nature take place
MILK%26gt; drink lots of MILK!!!
The only way I could get long healthy nales is using
Barielle's Natural Nail Camouflage. This is the best product on the market right now. I tried like 10 different brands and no visible results but this one works!!
Go on www.barielle.com or just type this product name in the search engine, bunch of other sites sell it.
I hope this will help. Good luck
just let them grow
dont bite them and paint them with liquid silk - available from boots!
Don't cut them. Duh
If you want long nails then youneed to go by that nail shop in Laffeyette.Don't bite on your nails.
I don't the cause for your bendy nails but i know how to make them stronger. It might sound weird but eating jelly cubes or jelly it's self makes your nails stronger. Hope that helps.
do you chew your nails? if you do than quit! also go to the salon and ask if they can help you. if they say they can't than start to forget about them and sooner or later they will be long and look natural. also every once in awhile push your cuticles back and that will help make them look natural.
you can get silks or something to put on your natural ones to protect them, or theres protective nail polishes. also rub your fingersjust below where the nail starts pushing blood up your finger, it increases the blood supply and gives healthier nails.

holland and barrett do a great product called skin hair and nails formula that promotes not only nail growth but hair shine and skin glow, i have been using it for about two months since a freind recommended it and already i have long healthy nails that are strong and don't break, to maintain them i have a manicure and will do so once a month! aslo a good side effect is my hair is softer and shiny and my skin is glowing- no more foundation for me!! the best bit is its in the sale at the moment and you can get a bottle of 60 (enough for about a month) for 拢1.79- its natural and produced quick results.
use sally hansen's maximum growth and maximum strength nail polishes. they do wonders!
Get yourself to the Health Food Shop and bur Omega 3 Seed mix. About 3 dessert spoons a day.
If you don't like seeds on their own, I have them on my muesli with some fruit, or my friend has a bowl of berries every morning with fromage frais with the seeds.
Yum yum in my opinion!
Think it is the zinc in them that is good for nails. A zinc supplement maybe? Ask at health food shop!
Well, I have learned that by getting a manicure 2 times a month my nails are finally growing. I use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in between the manicures. I keep them polished and take Vitamins. Its a slow process, but its been working.
Good Luck
Ah, was confused! (and now a little relieved!) My girlf uses this clear nailvarnish stuff. It's supposed to strengthen your nails, and hers are looking really good now. I'll ask her the name of it tonight
drink more milk maybe soak hands and then get vitamins that include alot of calcium
zinc, iron, and calcium!also some Sally Hansen nail polish has strengthing and lengthing stuff in it
just patience i guess. lots of calcium to make em strong and use a good hand cream.
also if you can, get a manicure every few weeks as the nail varnish will help keep them safe and they will get looked after properly
Neutragena makes a great product for this! I am pretty sure it is called instant nail enhancer. It looks kind of like a thick pen with a brush at the end of it. You can get it where Neutrogena cosmetics are sold. It really helps a lot! My nails are so brittle and flimsy, this really helped make them stronger. Keep them dry and away from chemicals!
I agree with Britt. Prenatal vitamins are great for your nails. Mine used to chip and break easily too, but when I took prenatal vitamins, they were as tough as they could be and grew like weeds. I got my vitamins at Walmart, so you don't have to spend a lot to at least try it to see if it works. Good luck.
a lot of these people are right about improving your diet. but, i think the main reason you are having trouble keeping them long, might be stress. your nursing might be affecting you a little more than realize. try to take a little time each day to really relax. whether that means medatation, or a bubble bath, or just watching your favorite show with no distractions. good luck with your long nails and your new career.
drink milkkk
If you have a professional manicure or strengthening treatment that will help. Or buy a good quality hardener (not with formaldehyde though) and follow the instructions. Also buy a nail oil and massage it into the cuticle area every night.
dont bite or cut them,
wow! i was thinking their......hmmmmm......a male nurse wanting long and beautiful finger nails?!?!?!? QUEER!!!!! lol
