I want to get my nails done, but I do not want the french manicured look. I heard that you can ask for a natural tip which looks like your real nail, but is that what they are called?

Yes you can ask for a natural tip. It is actually called a Natural Tip. Almost every salon will have both white tips and natural tips. If they don't, you can get the white tips and then have the nails painted when they are done. You won't be able to tell they were white tips after they are painted.
