I have an audition on December 9 and it鈥檚 probable that I will have to do some work barefoot. The trouble is, I have a pretty ugly fungal toe nail infection. Although I am using antibiotics to treat the cause, my feet are not particularly pretty right now and I need a solution.
Is there a specific nail treatment process to reduce the yellow-ish colourisation? Or perhaps a specialised nail polish that will cover the yellow nail? I鈥檓 not particular on how to achieve a natural look, but it is certain that the nail must look natural 鈥?at least so as not attract unnecessary attention.
My entire theatrical career depends on this audition, so come on guys, help me out鈥?please? How can you make a discoloured toe nail appear normal and natural?
If the toe nail is thick, you can *gently* buff down the top of it with a 200 grit (or higher) file. Don't buff it a lot; a tiny bit of buffing should take care of some of the discoloration. If you don't want to do this or find that it isn't working, you can buy some beige polish in a tone close to your skin color, base coat, and a matte topcoat. Feet by OPI makes one, as does Essie. Matte won't have the same staying power as glossy, but it will look most natural. Paint 1 coat of base coat, 1-2 coats of the color, and 1 coat of matte. You'll get a fairly natural look by doing that. Good luck at your audition!!How can you make a discoloured toe nail appear normal and natural?
