Are gel nails better for your natural nails than acrylic nails?

No difference...if you work with chemicals or have your hands wet frequently then gels perform better.

Most damage is either the tech being too handy with the file on your own nail or the way the nails are removed afterwards. NEVER ever pick or pull off a fake nail, it needs soaking off in acetone or filing off or a combination of both. Soaking in water just allows the nail to be pulled off taking several layers of your own nail with it. OUCH!

If artificial nail systems were really bad for your nails then my hands wouldnt currently be sporting half inch long natural nails with a gel overlay. I have had about 8 years of tips and acrylic or gel but decided to grow my own a couple of months ago. Because I know how to apply and remove nails properly and safely my nails are healthy and generally pretty strong...I have a gel overlay for a bit of added strength as the longer they are the more vulnerable they become to breakage. Are gel nails better for your natural nails than acrylic nails?
Neither are great, but if you are getting artificial nails, go with gel. They are less evasive on natural nail than acrylic. Are gel nails better for your natural nails than acrylic nails?
